3.1 DigiB collects, processes and uses personal data within the scope of the operation of the internet portal/digital customer interface for ordering chemicals “Brenntag Connect” (“Portal”) as the controller within the meaning of the applicable EU data protection legislation.
3.2 Our portal is exclusively available to registered users. For technical reasons, your internet browser automatically transmits the following data to our web server when you access the Portal: Domain name or IP address of your terminal device, date and time of access, URL of the requesting website, http response code, accessed file, amount of data sent, browser type and version, and operating system.
3.3 These data are stored by the web server and used by us to enable the use of the Portal and its technical administration, to secure system security and to further optimize our online content.
3.4 We use the registration data (title, name, email address, company name) for the establishment and implementation of your membership, the creation of your member account, the provision of our services and for contacting you, if and to the extent necessary for the aforementioned purposes. After entering your required data, you will receive an email from us to the email address provided and, by clicking on the link contained therein, you confirm that you have proper access authorization to the email address you provided in the registration form (double opt-in). We may also use the above-mentioned personal data to (re)design, expand and optimize our Portal and our online content in order to adapt to our users' needs and to provide individual recommendations.
3.5 If and to the extent we use partner companies (subcontractors) for support services in the processing of the commercial agreements, your data may also be passed on to these parties. In such cases, where the processing is to be carried out on behalf of us as the controller, we will only use processors that have committed themselves in writing prior to the provision of the data to comply with the legal data protection standards at least to the same degree that we have committed ourselves under the applicable data protection legislation.
3.6 As soon as the purpose for the collection, processing and use of the personal data has ceased to exist, we will delete this data without undue delay, unless there are legitimate reasons within the meaning of the applicable statutory provisions, such as in particular statutory retention obligations, to archive such data. In this case, the data is blocked instead of deleted.
The collection, processing, use and storage of personal data in accordance with Item 3 hereof will only be conducted if and to the extent we are legally entitled to do, either by statutory legitimation, or after the user has expressly consented to the use for the described purpose, or where granted under any other valid guarantee given. By ticking the consent box at the beginning of the registration process, user consents to the collection, use and processing of personal data by DigiB as described herein.
6.1 Upon your request in writing, you have a right to access to your stored data free of charge as well as, if the respective prerequisites are met, a right to rectification of inaccurate data, blocking or deletion of these data.
6.2 You can revoke your consent for / object otherwise to the collection and storage of your data at any time with effect for the future.
